About the Photographer

My name is Laura.  I'm a studio and “on-location” maternity / infant / birth/ toddler / family / senior / wedding / and more photographer serving the Abilene, San Angelo and Gatesville Texas area.

My goal is to give you a personalized photo session, with out the "cookie cutter portait studio" approach.  You will not be rushed in and out in 30 minutes.  I always take into account that little ones need to be fed, need some snuggle time, and are sometimes just fussy.  I strive to provide a portrait experience where everyone involved is relaxed and not worried about a strict time limit.
My mission for every session whether it be a birth, a wedding, a senior or family is to capture "YOU".  I want the portrait to show off your style and your personality.  I want to capture that devious smirk of your 2 year old, the "I am too cool for this" of your teenager.  The joy and relief of the birth of your child.  The love between a newlywed or engaged couple.

I have always been known to carry a camera.  I won my first photography contest in 3rd grade.  After the birth of my 5th child I became very serious in the art of portraits.  With several family members involved with photography in many different ways, I had lots of inspiration.  The name Bluebonnet's came from my love of the Texas wildflower.  It was also my husband's late grandmother's favorite, and it just seemed fitting to name my business after someone who inspired me.

I have been a professional photographer since 2001 and love every second of it.  I enjoy meeting so many new people and getting to know them.  Many of my clients have become very close friends as I celebrate milestones in their lives.

I strive to offer unique items to show of your portraits.  I have researched (and continue to research everyday) quality labs and specialty printers to give you one of a kind, top quality portraits.  The labs I have chosen to print your portraits use the best papers, the best ink, and have guaranteed great portraits that will last 100 years or more.
